When it comes to colouring your hair, there are a lot of decisions to make. Finding the right hair colour can be a tricky process, as there are a few factors that go into determining what hair colour that fits you. It might sound a bit complicated, but it doesn’t have to be, as the NATURIGIN-team has put together a guide to make sure you find a hair colour that fits you perfectly. First of all, it is essential to find a hair colour that matches both your skin tone and your undertone. The first step to find the perfect hair colour is therefore to determine your skin’s undertone. In this guide, we are going to work with two different undertones: warm and cool.

Characteristics of the two different undertones

Cool undertone: If you have a cool undertone you are probably born with black, cool blonde or strawberry blonde hair colour. Blue, grey, greenish-blue eyes often accompany people with a cool undertone. The veins on people with a cool undertone are more blue-ish, and the skin tone is often fair with a yellow or pink undertone. People born with a cool undertone can potentially tan, but not that easy.

Warm undertone: People with warm undertones are often characterised by their green, hazel, warm brown or dark brown eyes. Their natural hair colours are generally rich dark brown or a light golden brown. Also, people with warm undertones often have a more greenish hue in their veins. Your skin tone has an olive base or golden base, and you get a tan quickly.

Find your shade

When you have determined your undertone it’s time to find the hair colour that would be the most flattering for your complexions:

If you have learned that your skin has a cool undertone, you should go after hair colours with ashy blonde, platinum blonde or brown and black colours. A great match would, for example, be NATURIGIN’s Extreme ash Blonde 11.2hair colour. NATURIGIN’s “Light Ash Blonde 8.1is besides also a great match if you want a cool, but a darker hair colour than the Extreme ash Blonde 11.2.  The option of very dark colour is also something that will compliment you, NATURIGIN’s “Black 2.0 would, therefore, be a great fit. This hair colour adds an intense and deep black colour.

If you have a warm undertone you should go after colours like golden beige, toffee and honey as these colours would suit you and your hair colour. Let’s start by taking a look at some hair colour options for warm undertones! If you are a light hair kinda girl NATURIGIN’s Beige Golden Blonde 10.3would be a potential match for you as it adds a light blonde colour to your hair with beautiful golden tones. If you are more into a look that adds some darker tones NATURIGIN’s Natural Medium blonde 7.0will probably be what you are looking for. The hair colour has a dark golden colour with warm honey tones.
